Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • All sessions are held virtually, and clients must be physically located in New York State at the time of each session.

My current availability is Sunday through Thursday, between 6:00–8:00 pm Eastern, with additional weekday afternoon spots open through November 2025.

    • Individual therapy (50 minutes): $200

    • Couples therapy (50 minutes): $250

    • Polycule therapy (50 minutes): $250 + $50 per additional partner (e.g., $300 for a triad/throuple)

    • Extended sessions (80 minutes): available upon request, typically for EMDR or relationship work; fees are 150% of the standard 50-minute rate

  • I am an out-of-network provider, and I provide superbills that you can submit for reimbursement. To confirm your coverage, I recommend calling your insurance provider and asking:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

    • How many sessions are covered each year?

    • What is the reimbursement rate per session?

    • What is my co-insurance amount?

  • Yes. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for both therapy and supervision. Rates are determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on financial need and availability. If you’d like to discuss this option, please mention it during your consultation.

  • Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be billed at the full session rate.

Therapy

  • We’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy, review intake questions, and discuss your goals. I’ll also go over practice policies and answer any questions you may have.

  • I use an integrative approach, drawing from multiple modalities. Together we’ll explore what feels most supportive, and I’ll adjust our work based on your needs and preferences.

  • Most clients meet weekly, which helps build consistency and momentum in the work. After progress has been established, we can explore biweekly sessions if appropriate.

  • There is no set timeline for therapy. Some people come for a few months to focus on a specific concern, while others continue longer for ongoing support and deeper exploration. We’ll revisit your goals regularly and adjust the length of our work together based on your needs.

  • Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling stuck, navigating life transitions, struggling in relationships, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself. If you’re curious but unsure, a consultation call can help us determine if it’s a good fit.

Supervision

  • I provide supervision for graduate students in counseling, social work, and creative arts therapy programs, as well as pre-licensed and early-career clinicians.

  • I approach supervision with openness, curiosity, and collaboration. My goal is to support your development while creating space for reflection and growth.

  • Yes. Individual and group supervision are both available. You’re welcome to join an existing group or form one with peers or colleagues.

  • Yes, within my areas of clinical competence. Reach out to see if my background aligns with your needs.

  • No. I do not employ limited permit therapists and cannot sign off on licensure hours. My supervision services are meant to provide additional support, skill-building, and perspective outside of formal licensure requirements.
