What are you looking for? It’s a question we’ve all heard before — maybe too many times, especially in New York where it pops up on every dating app. It can feel cliché, even irritating. And yet, it’s also one of the hardest questions we face. We don’t always know what we’re looking for, which can leave us feeling restless, stuck, or disconnected. That’s often where therapy begins. There’s no perfect way to prepare for what life throws at us, but we can try to carry it through with some resilience, a bit of grace, and even a little humor.
